Temporary Closure of: Various Roads, Purton and Cricklade (Ref: TTRO 3834)
 
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
 
Phase one:
 
a)    B4553 Cricklade Road (Part), Purton; from its junction with Newths Lane to its junction with B4553 Packhorse Lane.
 
b)    Newths Lane, Purton; from its junction with B4553 Cricklade Road to its junction with Hayes Knoll.
c)    C70 Hayes Knoll / Chelworth Lower Green, Purton and Cricklade; from its junction with B4553 Packhorse Lane to its junction with B4553, Cricklade.
d)    UC Chelworth Lower Green Road, Cricklade; from its junction with C70 Chelworth Lower Green to its junction with B4553, Cricklade.
 
e)    Bentham Lane (Part), Purton; from its junction with C414 Cricklade Road to its junction with Cow Street.
f)     Cow Street, Purton; from its junction with Bentham Lane to its junction with Pond Lane.
g)    Pond Lane, Purton; from its junction with Cow Street to its junction with Stoke Common Lane.
 
h)    Stoke Common Lane (Part), Purton; from its junction with Pond Lane to its junction with B4553, Purton.
 
Phase two:
 
a)    B4553 (Part) Packhorse Lane, Purton; from its junction with B4553 Cricklade Road to its junction with C47 Crosslanes / C70 Hayes Knoll.
b)    Newths Lane, Purton; from its junction with B4553 Cricklade Road to its junction with Hayes Knoll.
c)    C70 Hayes Knoll / Chelworth Lower Green, Purton and Cricklade; from its junction with B4553 Packhorse Lane to its junction with B4553, Cricklade.
 
d)    UC Chelworth Lower Green Road, Cricklade; from its junction with C70 Chelworth Lower Green to its junction with B4553, Cricklade.
 
To enable: Wiltshire Council to carry out kerbing, carriageway reconstruction, carriagewayresurfacing, drainage, road marking and signing works.
 
Alternative route: via B4553 (unaffected length) – B4534 – A419 – B4040 – B4553(unaffected length) and vice versa.
 
The closures and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
 
Phase one of these works will take place from 27 July 2015 and it is anticipated that the works will take until 4 September 2015 to complete (six weeks).
 
Phase two of these works will take place from 7 September 2015 and it is anticipated that the works will take until 11 September 2015 to complete (one week).
 
It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Access will be maintained for residents; however delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
