You will now all have had a copy of our Parish Plan Up-date, which I hope you will find interesting. The facts and opinions have come from almost 2/5ths you, and there is now much to do. We have already done a School Bus count, to instigate further possibilities of reducing the empty buses that use us as a short cut. You will be aware that we have started the Lydiard Millicent Youth Club, which meets on a Tuesday evening in the Jubilee ClubHouse in the Recreation Field from 6.30 to 9pm. It is being led by our Wiltshire Council Area Youth Officer Sarah, supported by the Parish Council, but we really do need a few extra volunteers please, to help on a rota basis. Contact Tom Pepperall on 770734 if you can help.
Our Working Groups are now beginning. They will be open to parishioners who would like to join in, so please do feel free to come and help. The Housing Group will meet on Thursday March 8th at the JCH at 7.30pm. The Retail Group will meet on Tuesday March 6th at the Sun Inn at 11am to noon. The Footpath Group will start later, when the first section from Holborn to the Nine Elms road is complete. The School & Church Parking Group will be set up shortly, when Wiltshire Council sanction erection of an appropriate No Waiting / Parking sign.
We will try to keep you up-to-date on our Parish website from time to time, as well as seeking your help through the invaluable Lydiards Magazine. Your help will be much appreciated, if you have some spare time.
