Welcome to the Lydiard Millicent Parish Plan Web pages, whether you be a resident, past or present, or indeed potential future residents, neighbouring community, or just searching the web from another country may I, on behalf of the Parishioners, welcome you.
The Parish plan is an exciting opportunity for the community to make a contribution towards shaping the future of our Parish, to engage with our neighbours and work together, by taking ownership of our concerns, our fears, our worries and working collectively to build a stronger, better and dare I say, in today's society, a more considerate and caring community.
As I write this welcome, the United Kingdom looks towards the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings. I find myself feeling a degree of envy towards the intensity of community belonging which must have existed at that time and I hope that during your visit to our web site, looking at all the different aspects of our community life you will concur with me that our community is striving towards enhancing our community spirit for the benefit of one and all.
