An Introduction to Lydiard Millicent
All Saints Church Lydiard Millicent
Lydiard Millicent is a small village and parish in the far North-East corner of Wiltshire, it is administered by Wiltshire Council, but is close to the western edge of the Borough of Swindon. We fiercely defend our rural status, and are resolutely opposed to becoming part of Swindon.
At the end of 2007, our Parish had 623 dwellings and 1287 electors. Our Parish comprises the village of Lydiard Millicent, the hamlets and areas of Common Platt, Greatfield, Greenhill, Holborn, Lydiard Green, and part of Nine Elms and Washpool.
Local AuthorityLydiard Millicent is in the County of Wiltshire. All services are provided by Wiltshire Council who have their primary offices in Trowbridge and subsidiary offices in Devizes, Salisbury and Chippenham. Our Wiltshire Councillor is Cllr Mrs Mollie Groom.
